Tribute to Tim Satchwell, 1961 - 2023

When I was 13 years old, Uncle Spiny (our nickname for him after he visited with an epic mohawk!) took me to the music shops on Denmark Street. I had just started playing drums and was a bit shy about it but not in front of him. His calm excitement gave me the courage to bang away without a second thought. Tim was beaming with pride as he watched me. This moment made me feel brave and helped me overcome shyness in all aspects of my life.
